GAP Connah's Quay will fly the Huws Gray Alliance flag in the semi-finals after ending the UWIC students' giant-killing exploits. The game was virtually over as a contest after just five minutes thanks to goals from prolific marksman Gary O'Toole and midfielder Stuart Scheuber. A long ball from Tom Baker held up invitingly on the wind for O'Toole to round UWIC 'keeper Tom Edmonds and slot in the opening goal. And, three minutes later, Alan Hooley crossed for Scheuber to stab the ball past Edmonds at his near post. Dean Thurston thumped a left-footer from the edge of the box past the hapless keeper on 19 minutes and Nomads were then content to soak up the pressure. In the second half, home keeper Louis Mackin made a superb save to deny sub Kane Smith but, with time running out, the visitors were caught on the break and Ben Collins scored the fourth via the inside of the far post.
