City into the last four again
Saturday 26 February 2011
Port Talbot v BangorPORT Talbot were left to rue missed first-half chances as cup holders Bangor City made it 21 wins on the bounce in the competition.
Liam McCreesh was guilty of two first half misses, with Luke Bowen also failing to find the target.
And City made the most of it as they looked the better side after the break, taking the lead when Darren Moss headed in from a corner.
A twice taken penalty 15 minutes from time virtually settled the tie after Gary Bansor was adjudged to have fouled Alan Bull.
Dave Morley ballooned his first effort over the bar, but ref Huw Jones ordered the kick to be retaken due to encroachment, and the City skipper made no mistake with his second attempt.
Three minutes later, the Citizens were home and hosed, when Bull rounded keeper David Cornell to add the third after a mistake by defender Nicky Holland.
