| City march into fourth consecutive final |
| Sunday 10 April 2011 |
A POWER drive from Chris Jones seven minutes from time sealed a fourth consecutive Welsh Cup final appearance for Bangor City, who racked-up their 22nd successive win in the competition. But the Huws Gray Alliance Nomads looked on course to at least force extra-time, before Jones smashed his shot into the top corner. The scorer could have put City ahead on the half-hour mark but pulled his shot wide, while Les Davies was always a threat to the Deesiders’ hard-worked defence. It needed a headed clearance from under the Quay crossbar by Ben Collins to deny Dave Morley's set-piece on 60 minutes while prolific Nomads' marksman Gary O’Toole barely got a look in. Injured player-manager Mark McGregor came off the bench for the final minutes but was unable to influence the outcome.
