WELSH Premier marksman Marc Lloyd Williams is officially the world's most successful top division goal scorer amongst still active players. According to the International Federation of Football History and Statistics, Lloyd Williams' record of netting 313 times from 445 appearances in the domestic league tops a list which includes world-famous players such as Henrik Larsson (268 goals/478 matches), Rivaldo (261/518), Ronaldo (240/335), Thierry Henry (230/443), Raul Gonzalez (225/534), Martin Palermo (221/432), Ruud van Nistelrooy (216/316) and Mark Viduka (201/409). Second in the rankings is Juan Carlos Plata from Guatemala (299 goals), with Lisburn Distillery's Glenn Ferguson claiming third place (296). Latest to join the players scoring 200 times is FC Dynamo Kiev and ex-Chelsea forward Andriy Shevchenko, who lies 24th in the table. Lloyd Williams has scored 11 goals for his current club Airbus UK Broughton, with 52 for Porthmadog, 149 at Bangor City, 18 for Aberystwyth, 60 in TNS colours, 16 for Newtown and seven at Rhyl.
