Prestatyn boss overlooked for award

FOR the second time running North Wales has been short-changed when it comes to the Welsh Premier Manager of the Month award.
In October, the accolade went to Carmarthen Town's Tomi Morgan when Bangor City's Neville Powell had a much better record.
And now Mark Jones of Port Talbot has picked up the November award but in my opinion Prestatyn Town's Neil Gibson would have been a far more worthy recipient.
Last month Prestatyn had a perfect record of three wins out of three, including a 4-0 thrashing of Aberystwyth and a victory in a tricky Welsh Cup tie at Cambrian and Clydach Vale.
Gibson has lifted the Seasiders from the bottom up to fourth in the table, yet still does not get the recognition he deserves.
I would never begrudge Mark Jones anything. The Port Talbot boss is one of football's true nice guys and a very funny man to boot, but he didn't manage a 100% record in November like Gibson did.
Meanwhile, in their last two matches Bangor have blitzed Carmarthen 5-0 and annihilated Port Talbot 8-1.
A case of the manager of the month curse certainly striking hard twice.
