FORMER Wrexham ace Danny Williams is guarding against complacency ahead of Rhyl's Welsh Premier run-in.Williams, who left the Racecourse Ground in the summer, is on course to clinch the title with the Lilywhites at the first time of asking. But, despite a seven-point advantage over their nearest rivals Llanelli, the 29-year-old is urging Rhyl to keep going until the trophy is mathematically certain, starting against Caersws. "You can't get better than top of the league," he said. "But Llanelli are not far behind us and we need to keep going. We are in a good position, but it is important not to get complacent as there are seven games left. "There is a real quality throughout our side, there is obviously me and Neil (Roberts) and a few other former Wrexham lads, but there is a strength and depth and the whole squad has worked together. "A lot of the lads have played higher up whether that was being at pro clubs when they were younger or not, and there are some very experienced Welsh Premier players who have done this for a long time. "I see the ability of the players every Saturday and every training session, we all enjoy it - myself included and I think I'll stop when I don't. "The standard has surprised me, it has helped though with coming from Wrexham that we know not to get complacent against teams. "We were taught that and it stays with you throughout your football. "When we played teams from the Welsh Premier at Wrexham we always saw that they were capable of playing some good football. "Llanelli are a good side so we can't stop playing our football. TNS are a good side and even some teams other than that have played some good football. "Caersws is a typical example. We can take nothing for granted there, they are scrapping for points at the bottom of the table. "I haven't played at Caersws before, but I imagine it will be a difficult surface and that we will have to be prepared to dig deep."
