Addo boost for Canaries' boss Rowe
Thursday 13 August 2009
Paul AddoPAUL Addo has returned to The Oval to boost Caernarfon boss David Rowe ahead of the club's first season in the Cymru Alliance.
The striker, who has hit 14 Welsh Premier goals from 50 (+13) appearances, started his career in the top flight with the Canaries in February 2007 after signing from Vauxhall Motors.
He transferred to join his former manager Steve O'Shaughnessy at Gap Connah's Quay in January but is not part of Nomads' boss Mark McGregor's plans for the new campaign.
"Paul is a proven goalscorer in the Welsh Premier and is an excellent addition to the squad. We are also looking to bring in a defender on loan as cover," says Rowe, who is joined by former Llangefni coach Derek Roberts this season.
"I’ve told the players not to put pressure on themselves," added Rowe to the Caernarfon Herald.
"All I’ve said to the players is that if we are in the hunt for promotion at Christmas then we can really go for it. Until then we are taking each game as it comes."
