LLANGEFNI Town and Penrhyncoch remain neck-and-neck at the top of the Cymru Alliance following Wednesday night's games. Cefni beat Denbigh Town 2-1 at Talwrn Road with a goal from new signing Robbie Williams from the penalty spot on his debut and another from Darren Thomas, former Welshpool midfielder Craig Wilkinson replying for the visitors in the final minute. Penrhyn beat Guilsfield 2-0 with goals from Richard Evans and Mark Cook, but newly-relegated Caernarfon Town slumped at home to Bethesda Athletic, who were two tiers below the Canaries last season. Richard Owen netted a brace for the visitors, with Gareth Davies and Darren Gowans also on target. |
