LLANGEFNI Town overcame the loss of on-loan Porthmadog star Marcus Orlik to retain the only 100% record in the Cymru Alliance on Saturday.Orlik was red-carded at the end of the first-half with the scores level at 1-1 at Lex XI's Stansty Park. Richie Owen had given Cefni a fourth-minute lead, with Kevin Roberts soon equalising, but a brace from Darren Thomas (pictured) saw Lee Dixon's side to a 3-2 victory. Chasers Penrhyncoch dropped their first points of the season in a scorless affair at home to Bethesda Athletic, but Mold Alexandra continued their impressive start by coming back from a goal down at Caernarfon Town to register their fourth win in five games. Mark Roberts gave the Canaries the perfect start, but Darren Pritchard levelled from the penalty spot with a Steve Maddox own goal and another from Simon Holloway sealed a narrow win after Antony Bowden pulled one back for the hosts. Level on points with Mold, Flint Town United beat Llanfairpwll 3-0 at Cae-y-Castell with the prolific Sean Beck claiming two more goals. |
