CAERNARFON Town have appointed a management duo to succeed David Rowe, who resigned last week due to his work commitments with the Liverpool academy. Derek Roberts steps-up from his role as coach and is joined by former Bangor City and Porthmadog academy chief Mel Jones at the Cymru Alliance outfit. Roberts, a Uefa 'B' licence holder, had a previous spell at the Oval as a goalkeeping coach under ex-manager Adie Jones, whom he followed to Colwyn Bay and Llangefni Town before taking over the reins at Talwrn Road for a brief spell. Jones also held the reins at Bangor on a caretaker basis before Nev Powell's appointment two years ago. |
