LLANGEFNI continue to set the pace at the top of the Cymru Alliance after a 4-1 success at newly-promoted Berriew. But the leaders were shocked by a 10th-minute goal from Joe Coulson, before hitting back through Warren Gibbs, Graham Austin, Steve Kehoe and Kevin Lloyd. Second-placed duo Flint Town United and Llandudno both maintained the pressure. The Silkmen enjoyed a 3-1 home win over Llangollen Town, courtesy of a brace from Stuart Carroll and one from Alan Dawson, while Llandudno won 3-0 at lowly Gresford Athletic, forging a two-goal lead inside the first 10 minutes thanks to Neil Coverley and Lee Thomas. Kenleigh Owen's brace ensured Holyhead Hotspur took the spoils at home to Penrhyncoch, who had Ross Marsh taken to hospital and keeper Llew Hughes sent-off. Buckley continued their improvement with Neil Wynne scoring the only goal of the game at Ruthin. Photo: Action from Buckley's 1-0 win at Ruthin [Nic Johnston]. |
