FLINT Town United were the day's Cymru Alliance highrollers hitting eight at Penrhyncoch as they warmed-up for their eagerly-awaited Welsh Cup clash with Bangor City.Shaun Beck hit a brace as did Stuart Carroll, both of his goals arriving in stoppage time. The win maintained the Silkmen's challenge for top spot, which is still held by Llangefni Town after a 3-0 home win over lowly Gresford - Darren Thomas, Ywain Gwynedd and Danny Glyn Roberts getting the goals. Llandudno stay third after steamrollering Berriew 5-1 at Maesdu Park, Lee Thomas grabbing a brace including one from the penalty spot. Tommy Mutton scored again for Denbigh Town with a fourth-minute penalty in a 2-0 home win over Mold Alexandra. Phil Molyneux missed the chance to hand Buckley Town all three points at home to Caernarfon, missing an added-time penalty after the Canaries had twice fought back with goals from Ashley Ruane and Eifion Jones.
