AFTER a goal-less draw in the top of the table clash at Llandudno's Maesdu Park, Llangefni stayed top of the Cymru Alliance.The hosts are still four points behind, but have two games in hand on their rivals. Third-placed Flint Town United failed to close the gap as they went down to only their second defeat of the season. beaten 1-0 by a late Colin Quirk goal at Buckley Town on Friday night. And fourth placed Denbigh Town slumped to a surprise 6-1 defeat at Llangollen's Tower Fields, Simon Smith leading the way with a brace. Penrhyncoch are fifth after a 4-2 win at relegated Welsh Premier outfit Caernarfon Town, Tony Jones netting twice for the visitors, leaving the Canaries struggling in 13th-place. Kevin Garland also scored twice as in-form Ruthin Town beat Holyhead Hotspur 2-1. There was only one game in Welsh League Division One, where second-placed Aberaman Athletic were surprisingly beaten 4-2 at home by newly-promoted Garden Village.
