| Canaries sack management duo |
| Friday 13 November 2009 |
CAERNARFON Town have parted company with management duo Derek Roberts and Mel Jones.Only appointed to the posts in mid-September, the new management team managed just one win from their 10 games in charge. Relegated from the Welsh Premier at the end of last season, the Canaries currently languish in the lower half of the Cymru Alliance. The club felt that, due to the unique nature of the current season, it was imperative that the club finished in the top six to at least maintain their Cymru Alliance status," says a statement from The Oval. Roberts was already at Caernarfon as coach when Derek Rowe resigned, with Jones brought-in from Porthmadog to form the new team. Photo: Roberts (left) and Jones. |
