| Llangefni rocked in Anglesey derby |

ONLY four Cymru Alliance fixtures survived the cold spell, but Llangefni missed the chance to close the gap on out-of-action leaders Flint Town United. Cefni lost the Anglesey derby 2-1 at home to second-bottom Holyhead Hotspur, who had Kenleigh Jones sent-off in the second half, with Mike Edwards striking the winner against his former club three minutes from time for the visitors. Hotspur had taken a 12th-minute lead through Alex Jones, with Darren Thomas responding just after the hour mark. A last minute goal from Eilir Edwards gave Ruthin Town the spoils in a 1-0 win at home to local rivals Denbigh Town, while Llion Jones scored the only goal of the game as Llanfairpwll won at home to Bethesda Athletic. Guilsfield and Berriew drew 1-1 in the only other game. |
