LLANDUDNO lifted the Cymru Alliance League Cup for the first time with a 2-0 win over Flint Town United at Buckley's Globe Way.The side that finished in third place in the league, 10 points behind their final opponents, took a 12th-minute lead through a Lee Thomas penalty after James McIlvogue had been fouled in the box by John Davies. And it was veteran striker McIlvogue who sealed the victory with a second-half goal, heading home at the second attempt on 73 minutes after the keeper Hughes had tipped his shot onto the bar. The Silkmen had their chances and hit the woodwork after the break, with man-of-the-match keeper Paul Whitfield pulling off some outstanding saves to ensure the winners kept a clean sheet.
