| Three more for Druids' boss Griffiths |
| Monday 14 June 2010 |
ELEMENTS Cefn Druids' boss Huw Griffiths has signed three more players with previous Welsh Premier experience.Defender Mark Harris is the second player to make the switch from Bala Town to Plas Kynaston, following Warren Duckett, who committed to the Ancients last week. With 27 (+11) top flight appearances to his credit, Harris joined Caernarfon Town from Wrexham in January 2007, with previous experience at Liverpool and Priory Villa. He moved to Bala Town from Cammell Laird to play a part in their Cymru Alliance title success, but found it difficult to earn a consistent first team place at Maes Tegis last season. Striker Richard Williams-Cooke (pictured) has joined Druids from Denbigh Town, where he was in his second spell after having also played for Newtown in the top flight. The 30-year-old captained Denbigh to the Welsh Alliance title in 2006/7, before catching the eye of Robins' boss Darren Ryan when scoring twice against Newtown in the Welsh Cup. Williams-Cooke spent a year at Everton's Centre of Excellence and also had a trial at Burnley, also playing for Ruthin Town, Colwyn Bay YMCA, Trefnant Village, Lex XI and Chirk, leaving Latham Park to join Bala Town in January 2009. Returning to the Ancients is defender James Taylor, who made 26 starts in the Welsh Premier in his first spell after joining from Ludlow Town. Previously with Scunthorpe United and Bishops Castle, Taylor was at Market Drayton Town last season. |
