| Thursday 17 June 2010 |
FORMER Cefn Druids' striker Dave Taylor has rejoined the club as first-team coach.Taylor (pictured), who played in the Ancients' side that won the Cymru Alliance in 1998/99, parted company with Caersws at the end of last season after three seasons and both manager and assistant. A prolific marksman, Taylor scored a total of 118 goals in the Welsh Premier League in 163 (+59) appearances for Porthmadog, Conwy United, Inter Cardiff, Newtown, Holywell Town, Welshpool, Oswestry and Caersws, as well as the Druids. He went on to manage Buckley Town to the Cymru Alliance title in 2004/5 before his move to the Bluebirds. "I'm absolutely delighted to bring Pixie to the club," says manager Huw Griffiths. "He's a legend at the club for his goalscoring exploits and a legend throughout Wales. "He turned down an approach from another club because he wanted to come to us. "It's a major coup to have someone of his calibre with us." |
