BALA Town returned to action after an extended break with a 6-0 away mauling of Buckley Town to return to the top of the Cymru Alliance on goal difference.
Relegated from the Welsh Premier last season, Llangefni's bid for a swift return stuttered at Llandudno where they were held to a goal-less draw, allowing Holyhead to close the gap with a 3-0 success over bottom club Llandyrnog United. In the Welsh League, leaders Bettws were held to a 1-1 draw by Taffs Well with second-placed Goytre United engaged in cup action. Barry Town remain four points behind in third after also dropping two points on a 0-0 draw with Pontardawe Town. Ambitious ENTO Aberaman join them on 31 points with three games in hand following a 2-0 win against Cwmbran in which new signing Richard Ryan scored both goals on debut following his move from the Goyts. |
