RHYL goalkeeper Jack Cudworth is on trial with Macclesfield Town and came on as a second half substitute in a recent friendly against a Manchester City XI.The highly-rated 19-year-old, who played 33 games for Welshpool and Rhyl last season, also played a full second half in a 5-0 win at Newcastle Town earlier in the week. Before arriving in the Welsh Premier, Cudworth was spotted by Preston North End while undergoing a trial at Manchester United and played for the Deepdale outfit's youth and reserve teams before being released in the summer of 2009. He had been linked with a move to Morecambe during this close season. Rhyl travel to Macclesfield this Saturday and Cudworth could well play against his Belle Vue team mates. |
