FOLLOWING a renewal of its sponsorship deal with building materials supplier Huws Gray, the Cymru Alliance League is celebrating its 20th-anniversary with a change of name.Previously known as the Huws Gray Cymru Alliance, the league is being renamed the Huws Gray Alliance with immediate effect and the Cymru Alliance League Cup will be relaunched as the Huws Gray Cup. Announcing the three-year agreement, league chairman Steve Williams said: "We have enjoyed a mutually beneficial partnership with Huws Gray for many years and appreciate their generosity in not only extending but enhancing the current agreement. "In these difficult and uncertain times, it is a great relief for us to be able to secure a three-year deal, which will enable us to implement plans to further develop and improve the league. "Changes in the pyramid system means that there have been many changes in terms of member clubs since May. "Whilst we extend a warm welcome to all our new clubs, we are also pleased to retain the support of our long-time principal sponsors." Huws Gray is headquartered in Llangefni, home of the reigning Alliance champions. |
