NEWLY-promoted Rhos Aelwyd maintained their unbeaten start to go third in the Huws Gray Alliance with a 2-0 home victory over fellow newboys Rhayader Town.Second-half goals from Mike Burke and Aaron Edwards did the trick, while Buckley Town won by the same scoreline to extend a miserable start to the season for relegated Porthmadog, who had Geraint Mitchell sent-off at Globe Way as they succumbed to a brace from Jack Challinor. Reigning champions Llangefni Town have also started poorly and remain pointless after a 2-0 home reverse to Cefn Druids. Mike Cronshaw and Adam Hemp were on target for the Ancients, who will play their first home game at their new stadium next Saturday. Second half strikes from Gareth Sudlow and Karl Seliaerts gave visitors Caersws the points at Penrhyncoch, while Rhydymwyn gained their first win since promotion at home to Ruthin Town thanks to goals from Mark Gunter and Daffyd Griffith, with Kevin Garland scoring for the visitors.
