BALA Town maintained their lead at the top of the Cymru Alliance on goal difference with a 1-0 win at lowly Glantraeth, courtesy of Tommy Mutton's second-half strike. But Llangefni Town, relegated from the Welsh Premier last summer, are still breathing down their necks after firing four at Guilsfield from a Mike Edwards brace, Darren Thomas and on-loan Bangor midfielder Mel McGuinness. Holyhead stay third after fighting back from three goals down to snatch a point at fellow high-flyers Flint Town United. Shaun Beck and a Paul Williams brace had put the Silkmen in control, but second-half goals from Kenleigh Owen, Marc Evans and Gareth Caughter earned a 3-3 draw. Mynydd Isa heaped woe on visitors Penrhyncoch with a 10-1 hammering - the Roosters were deducted three points earlier in the week. Neil Wynne led the way with a hat-trick for the hosts.
