GAP Connah's Quay went top of the Huws Gray Alliance, maintaining their 100 percent start to the league campaign with a 1-0 home win over Rhayader Town. But Chris Herbert's goal shortly after the break was all that separated the Nomads from the newly-promoted strugglers from mid-Wales. Rivals Rhyl slipped-up at Globe Way, where hosts Buckley Town notched a last-minute equaliser from Gareth Hughes to snatch a point in a 2-2 draw. Neil Wynne had opened the Bucks' account with a 25-yarder after eight minutes, but Brad Maylett and Gareth Owen hit back for the Lilywhites before half-time. Cefn Druids went fourth with an impressive 4-0 win at Rhydymwyn, Aaran Pritchard and Mark Harris getting the Ancients off to a flyer with goals inside the first nine minutes, Matt Harrison and Marc Griffiths adding further goals in the second-half. Another newly-promoted side, Rhos Aelwyd are finding life easy in the second tier so far, moving into third place with a 1-0 home win over Caersws thanks to a goal from Mike Burke seven minutes from time. Dan Pyrs also scored seven minutes from the final whistle to enable Porthmadog to claim the spoils at Llangefni, while Flint won 3-2 at Guilsfield with goals from John Davies, Sean Beck and Richard Walker. Penrhyncoch and Llandudno shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw at Cae Baker where the visitors ended with nine men following the dismissals of Adie Hoyle and Jamie Duffy, while Welshpool and Ruthin produced the same scoreline at Maesydre, Eilir Edwards cancelling out a home goal from Steve Tomkins.
