| 'Pool boss quits after points deduction |
| Thursday 07 October 2010 |
TECHNOGROUP Welshpool manager Graham Evans has resigned in the wake of a 15-point deduction for the Huws Gray Alliance club.Evans was appointed during the close season to take over the reins from Huw Griffiths, who moved to Cefn Druids after the Lilywhites were relegated from the Welsh Premier League. The mid-Wales outfit are understood to have been hit with the points deduction after fielding two players who did not have international clearance from the Football Association of Wales. Evans (pictured) has also managed Welshpool's near neighbours Guilsfield in the Alliance. Welshpool secretary Liam Pritchard says that the departure of Evans and the points deduction are unrelated matters. |
