| Thursday 07 October 2010 |
FORMER Welshpool Town duo Aden Shannon and Paul Dowridge have returned to the club, signed by manager Graham Evans just before his departure from the helm.Striker Shannon (pictured) scored 64 goals from 118 (+51) Welsh Premier appearances for Cefn Druids, where he holds the club record for goals in one season, Welshpool, Connah's Quay and Porthmadog. He left Maesydre in season 2007/8 to join his former manager Tomi Morgan at Porthmadog. Dowridge, who links up with his brother John at 'Pool, is also a former Cefn Druids player who has also featured for Airbus UK, and Connah's Quay. He has made 153 appearances in the Welsh Premier and both are set to make their debuts at Caersws this weekend. Meanwhile, the club hopes assistant boss Benji Evans will take the managerial reins in a caretaker capacity. |
