 CEFN Druids took over at the top of the Huws Gray Alliance as they ended Gap Connah's Quay's 100 percent start to the season in emphatic fashion.The Ancients ran out 5-1 winners in front of a crowd of 452 at The Rock, despite Mike Hayes giving the Nomads a 23rd-minute lead. A brilliant 40-yard drive from Mark Harris drew the Druids level and Andrew Swarbrick fired them in front before half time. Two second half goals from Marc Griffiths (pictured) and another from Ashley Wilson completed the rout against a Nomads side that had previously conceded only six goals in seven games. |
