CAERSWS hit six in a comprehensive home defeat of Flint Town United to go third in the Huws Gray Alliance. And there were six different names on the scoresheet for the Bluebirds, with Karl Seliaerts, Mark Griffiths, Gareth Sudlow, Geraint Lewis, Neil Mitchell and Richard Evans all finding the back of the net. Simon Thelwell, John Hill and Stuart Carroll replied for the Silkmen, after Caersws had established a 5-0 lead. Guilsfield produced a shock result with a 4-0 win at Ruthin Town with Richard Astley scoring twice. Rhyl got back to winning ways with a 5-0 thumping of Rhydymwym, with Stuart Rudd, Mike Pritchard, player-boss Greg Strong and Brad Maylett the scorers. Jordan Kane grabbed a brace as Llandudno won 4-1 at home to Welshpool, where the former Wrexham youth spent time on loan last season. Mark Egan made it three penalties in two games as Penrhyncoch won 2-0 at Llangefni Town - Egan had scored the winner against Rhyl from the spot a week ago. Marcus Orlik and a Craig Hughes own goal put paid to Rhos Aelwyd in a 2-1 defeat at Porthmadog, while Buckley were the latest team to defeat hapless Rhayader Town, 2-0 with goals from Gareth Edwards and Wes Brererton. |
