LLANGEFNI hammered Welshpool 8-3 at Maesydre after manager Lee Dixon and his assistant Ian Hughes resigned."It's time for a parting of the ways and for the club to find someone to revive their fortunes," said Dixon, who led Cefni to the Huws Gray Alliance title last season and only recently returned to the club after resigning. Darren Thomas led the way with a hat-trick in the Welshpool rout with Lee Craven grabbing a brace. Cefn Druids stayed top of the table with a 4-3 win at lowly Rhayader Town, Ashley Wilson grabbing a brace alongside goals from Warren Duckett and Mark Harris, who was then sent-off. Rhyl won the match of the day in front of a crowd of 327 at the Deeside Stadium, beating second-placed Gap Connah's Quay 3-2. Mark Cadwallader, Chris Williams and Mike Pritchard got the Lilywhites' goals after Ben Collins, who scored an 88th-minute consolation, had handed the Nomads an eighth-minute lead. Ruthin Town shocked high-flyers Caersws with Aaron Aby and Kevin Garland scoring in a 2-1 win at the Memorial Fields. Rhos Aelwyd went nap at home to Penrhyncoch with two blunders by visiting keeper Llew Hughes handing goals to Steve Powell and Jon Rush. Former Druids' striker Rush added another, with further goals from Dave McIntyre and Josh Russell, but the hosts presented their Ceridigion visitors with an own goal courtesy of a Darren Hignett header with Chris Wilkins and Josh Shaw also responding in a 5-3 defeat. Ross Frame scored twice either side of a Chris Roberts goal as Guilsfield shocked Llandudno with a 3-0 win at Maesdu Park. A Joe Desormeaux goal earned Buckley Town a 1-1 draw at Rhydymwyn, who took the lead through Tom McElmeel, while Porthmadog won 2-1 at home to Flint Town United, Rhys Roberts netting a late winner.
