WITH leaders Gap Connah's Quay out of action, Rhyl missed the chance to top the Huws Gray Alliance after a shock 2-1 home defeat at the hands of Buckley Town.John Leonard and Anthony Williams forged a two-goal lead for the visiting Bucks at Belle Vue, with Mark Cadwallader replying for the Lilywhites. Llandudno remain in fourth place after being held to a 1-1 home draw by Penrhynoch, Jordan Kane scoring the home side's goal a minute before the break, with Chris Wilkins levelling a quarter of an hour from time. In the only other game to survive the weather, Flint Town United went fifth with a 2-1 home win over Guilsfield at Cae-y-Castell, but needed a stoppage time goal from Sean Beck to seal the victory. Ben Jones had given the Silkmen a 44th-minute lead, but an 80th-minute equaliser from Jonathan Jones looked like clinching a point for the villagers until Beck's late winner. On Friday night, third-placed Cefn Druids renewed their title bid with a 1-0 home success over Rhydymwym, Matty Hurdman notching the Ancients' goal on 52 minutes.
