Nomads forge eight points clear

Gary O'TooleGAP Connah's Quay forged eight points clear at the top of the Huws Gray Alliance after winning the Flintshire derby 2-1 against near neighbours Flint Town United.
The visitors took the lead after just five minutes when a long ball on the wind caught the Silkmen's defence flat-footed and keeper Leigh Williams fumbled to leave prolific marksman Gary O'Toole (pictured) with a simple tap-in.
A second goal on the hour mark saw O'Toole lift the ball over Williams from six yards from Jamie Petrie's cross, but the hosts hit back through a Simon Thelwell header nine minutes later.
Shaun Beck went close to an equaliser for Flint in stoppage time, but the Nomads held out for their eighth straight win.
