| Llandudno capture ex-Rhyl defender |
| Saturday 12 February 2011 |
LLANDUDNO have won the race to sign Lee T Jones, who was released by Rhyl at his own request. The former Cefn Druids defender asked to leave Belle Vue in search of regular first-team football and manager Greg Strong says: "It's been unfortunate for Lee that we have Shaun Dowling and Andy Pearson to play in the two positions that Lee is most dominant. "I wish Lee every success with who ever he joins, he is a hard working lad who is very committed and always gives 100%". Released by Wrexham in 2008, the 21-year-old Jones trained with The New Saints in pre-season but joined Cefn Druids and made 46 Welsh Premier appearances over two seasons. He left Plas Kynaston in January 2010 for Flint Town United in the Cymru Alliance, transferring to Rhyl the following June. |
