| Llandudno hoping for that Friday feeling |

LLANDUDNO hope that Friday feeling will get the crowds flocking to their home match against Huws Gray Alliance leaders Gap Connah’s Quay.Tudno will be out for revenge having suffered an unlucky 2-1 defeat at the Deeside Stadium last October and also-aim to improve on last Saturday’s dismal 3-0 loss at Welshpool. "It’s the first time we’ve given Friday football a try at Maesdu Park so we’re hoping for a good turnout," Seasiders' assistant manager Grant Montgomery told the North Wales Weekly News. "It was a very difficult game on Saturday. We like to get the ball down and play but Welshpool’s pitch was so uneven it made that impossible. We also had a number of players out and others carrying injuries so it was never destined to be our day." Tudno hope to include new signing from Rhyl, the versatile Lee T Jones, in their squad, the full-back/midfielder having started at Welshpool. Regular keeper Paul Whitfield’s involvement depends on the progress of his expectant wife, but otherwise new glovesman Stefan Holden, who played at Maesydre and has previous experience with Darwen FC and Bangor University, is available. Ryan Williams, Neil Coverley and Lee Thomas, who all missed the weekend defeat, are in line for a return for Tudno. Photo: Lee Jones, set for a home debut. |
