CYMRU Alliance leaders Bala Town got a major boost as they retained their lead, despite playing in the League Cup.Main rivals Llangefni Town were held in a 1-1 draw at Denbigh Town, leaving them a point off the pace having played three games more. Darren Thomas put Cefni in front, but Darren Cassidy ended their hopes of lifting all three points with an equaliser a minute from time. Llandudno went fourth after a 4-1 success at Llanfairpwll, where young sub Toby Jones notched a late brace. Gresford Athletic eased their relegation fears with a 2-1 home win over fellow strugglers Glantraeth, Phil Jones and Josh Russell scoring for the hosts. |
