CEFN Druids' hopes of a top two finish in the Huws Gray Alliance were dealt another blow as they lost 2-1 at Ruthin Town on Wednesday night. Despite taking an 11th-minute lead through Warren Duckett, the Ancients were undone by a brace from Kevin Garland in the 30th and 66th minutes. Rhos Aelwyd beat Rhydymwyn 2-1 at Ponciau Banks, again coming from a goal down after Dave Pitson had given the Mold visitors a first-half lead. Mike Burke equalised on the hour and Waynne Phillips got the winner from the penalty spot 12 minutes from time. Caersws and Buckley drew 1-1 on Tuesday night, Jacob Smith scoring for the Bluebirds and Stuart Hayes levelling for the Bucks. |
