LLANDUDNO have confirmed that Alan Bickerstaff has been appointed as the club's new manager. The Huws Gray Alliance outfit have been successful in gaining the FAW's domestic licence for the past two years, but their off-field progress has not been matched by results on the field and the club finished sixth last season. Bickerstaff, who succeeds Grant Montgomery with joint manager Mark Hewitt remaining at Maesdu Park, joins from Llangefni Town, where he was assistant manager. Previously with Airbus UK, Prestatyn and Porthmadog, the Uefa Pro badged coach joined Rhyl in 2008 but, after steering the Lilywhites to the Welsh Premier title and winning the Welsh Premier's manager of the season award, he was surprisingly sacked and replaced by Greg Strong. |
