VOTED Huws Gray Alliance manager of the season at the end of the last campaign, Steve Walters has joined Buckley Town.A former player with Crewe Alexandra, Morecambe, Stevenage Borough, Kidsgrove and Rhyl, Walters won promotion for Rhos Aelwyd to the second tier of football before guiding them to fourth place last term. Walters decided to step down and Bucks' boss Gareth Thomas has now persuaded him to join the coaching team at Globe Way alongside assistant manager Stuart McIntosh. Walters was part of the Rhyl side that lifted the Welsh Premier League, League Cup and Welsh Cup treble in 2003/4, scoring eight goals from 53 appearances for the Lilywhites. |
