ANDREW Swarbrick fired a hat-trick as Cefn Druids retained top spot in the Huws Gray Alliance with a 4-1 home win over Ruthin Town.Warren Duckett netted the Ancients' other goal, with Asa Hamilton netting a late consolation for the visitors. After a goaless first half at Ponciau Banks, Gary O'Toole gave second-placed Gap Connah's Quay the lead four minutes into the second half. Rhos Aelwyd equalised with an Arron Edwards penalty four minutes later only for an Iwan Williams goal to give the champions the points with 11 minutes remaining. Flint Town United climbed into third spot atfer winning at struggling Penycae, who lead at the inrerval through an early strike from Ben Jones. Stuart Carroll netted a penalty to equalise for Silkmen and Phil Lloyd then put them ahead. Mark Gunther snatched an equaliser for the hosts, but goaks from Jordon Brierley and Jamie Hayes in the last 10 minutes sealed the points for Flint. Caersws improved on their recent performances by netting five without reply at home to Guilsfield, Mark Griffiths and Rob Evans both scoring twice, while the Guils had Rob Cookson dismissed for two yellow cards High flyers Conwy were brought down to earth at home to Porthmadog, who ran out 2-0 winners with second half strikes from Craig Roberts and Mark Evans. New signing Tim Brigland took just four minutes to open his account for Buckley Town, who ran out comfortable 4-0 winners at Llangefni Town. Wes Brererton with a penalty and a Mike Burke double, also including a penalty, sealed the win. In the mid Wales derby, Llanrhaeadr and Penrhyncoch shared two goals, Mark Gornall opening the scoring for Penrhyn only for Ben White to equalise six minutes later.
