GAP Connah's Quay surged seven points clear at the top of the Huws Gray Alliance with a six-goal demolition of Rhos Aelwyd at the Deeside Stadium.Danny Forde squared the ball for player-manager Mark McGregor to fire his seventh goal of the season and open the Nomads' account after 17 minutes. Gary O'Toole added the second just past the half-hour from a Rob Jones free-kick before Jamie Petrie snapped-up a rebound from O'Toole's shot for the third. O'Toole completed his second hat-trick in three games in the second half before a Michael Robinson header completed the rout. Rivals Rhyl, who have two games in hand, slipped to a 1-0 home defeat to Llandudno, who prevailed in a poor game at Belle Vue despite missing four regular players.
