Wednesday 29 April 2009
Steve SedgwickSIMON Sedgwick is to step down as manager of Buckley Town at the end of the season.
"After discussions with the chairman, Simon has made it clear that his businesscommitments at present leave him no alternative but to step down from his current role," says a statement from the club.
"Simon has given this club unwavering commitment and loyalty in his stints here, the hours he put in to the club over the last two seasons, which have been a transitional period, have been phenomenal.
“I personally hope that Simon is true to his word and returns to football after 12 months or so, as local football needs characters like Sedge for it to continue to thrive," says chairman Stewart Roberts.
Buckley are encouraging applicants to submit their confidential interest in the role by Wednesday May 6 to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or phone 07542 883923.

Buckley has a ground that now meets the criteria for top flight football with a new stand due to be officially opened during pre-season.
