10-man Goyts stay top of the table

Richard French THE Welsh League's top of the table clash ended all-square as reigning champions Aberaman were held 2-2 at home by 10-man Goytre United, leaving the visitors ahead on goal difference, but having played a game more.
In a dramatic start, Barry Gunstone handed Athletic a first-minute lead but, despite the dismissal of keeper Chris Curtis, the visitors equalised through Dale Griffiths.
Lee Williams restored the home advantage, but former Port Talbot frontman Richard French (pictured) levelled again before the break and there was further scoring in the game.
Caldicot Town gained ground on the leaders and went third with a 6-0 demolition of Dinas Powys, while fourth-placed Cambrian & Clydach pulled-off a shock by winning 2-1 at Bridgend Town's Brewery Field on Friday night.
Newly-promoted Garden Village are up to fifth after a 3-1 win at Ely Rangers.
There were no fixtures in the Cymru Alliance, but relegated Welsh Premier outfit Caernarfon Town were on the wrong end of a 7-2 hiding at Mold Alexandra in the preliminary round of the League Cup.
League leaders Llangefni Town were also dumped out of the competition, 1-0 at Flint's Cae-y-Castell.
