CHAMPIONS Aberaman Athletic are setting a hot pace in Welsh League Division One, despite a summer of problems. They were far too strong for ambitious Bridgend Town at Aberaman Park and ended comfortable 4-0 winners with goals from Gary Dunstone, Anthony Taylor, Jon Kift and manager Mattie Davies. Caldicot Town are joint leaders on nine points after a 3-0 home success against newly-promoted Ely Rangers thanks to hat-trick from Gareth Cullimore. Richard Ryan scored four in midweek and added two more as Goytre United drew 2-2 with Barry Town, who were indebted to Nana Baah for rescuing a point. Bryntirion are fourth after beating Afan Lido 2-1 with goals from Adam Carpenter and Anthony Rawlings, with Nathan White netting Lido's late consolation. |
