 AFAN Lido went third in Welsh League division one after a 2-0 home win over Cardiff Corries on Wednesday night.It took until the 65th minute for Lido to make the breakthrough with Nathan White (pictured) scoring from a rebound, after keeper Chris Golton could only block a Mark Jones header from a Daniel Lancey cross. And White was on hand to add the second - his 13th of the campaign - after substitute Gavin Jones had beaten defenders to square the ball into the box. It was a fifth league win of the season for Lido, who only trail leaders Goytre United and Aberaman Athletic by one point. |
