BRIDGEND Town boss Drew Phillips has been re-united with Mark Sage, who joins the ambitious Welsh League outfit as joint manager. Sage stood down as Bettws boss just five days into the season after guiding them back into the top flight. Phillips and Sage enjoyed great success a few seasons back with Garw, as they rose from the third division to the first. The opportunity for Sage to join the Brewery Field outfit arose when Craig Lima, who only joined the management team in September, was unable to commit due to his work patterns. "I'm delighted that Mark is joining me on the Bridgend management team and hopefully we can match the success that was achieved at Garw," said Phillips. • Ton Pentre went third on Wednesday night with a 4-0 home win over Caerleon. |
