WELSH League leaders Goytre United were held to a surprise 2-2 draw at lowly Bettws, allowing Aberaman Athletic to creep closer. The reigning champions, who have two games in hand, reduced Goytre's lead to nine points after a 1-0 away win at Ely Rangers. Caldicot Town remain third after beating bottom of the table Caerleon 1-0 while, fourth-placed Barry Town were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Dinas Powys. On Friday night, chasers Afan Lido also fought out a draw, 2-2 away to Bridgend Town at the Brewery Field. |
