GOYTRE United opened-up a 12-point gap at the top of Welsh League Division One as they returned to winning ways with a 3-0 win at Cardiff Corries. Chris Summers and Richard Ryan (pictured) both netted for Goytre, who also had an own goal as they moved closer to the title. But Afan Lido are still chasing a league and cup double despite being held to a 1-1 draw against Dinas Powys. Lido are third in the First Division table behind leaders Goytre United and Caldicot, who lost 1-0 against West End. Bridgend Town earned a 2-0 win against Ton Pentre thanks to goals from Brian Showdery and Paul Jones. |
