| Barry snatch second place with late goal |
| Wednesday 31 March 2010 |
BARRY Town snatched second place in Welsh League Division One with a late equaliser in a 2-2 home draw against Ton Pentre. But the Dragons are likely to be overhauled by at least one of the chasing group, who all have several games in hand on the former Welsh Premier champions. Wayne Antoniazzi's cross was deflected into the net by a Barry defender to give the visitors the lead but the Bulldogs were made to regret several missed chances when former Ton striker Ian Jones (pictured) levelled past Leighton James. Alyn Jones restored the lead but, with seconds remaining, Ian Jones hit a superb leveller with his second goal from the corner of the box with the last kick of the game. |
