AFAN Lido have confirmed the appointment of Kim Bowley as first-team manager.Boss Mark Robinson had been in discussions for several weeks with Bowley, who holds the Uefa 'A' licence essential for Lido's FAW domestic licence bid and promotion back to the Welsh Premier. A working collegue of Robinson, 55-year-old Bowley has previous experience with Merthyr Tydfil and managed Rhayader Town for a brief spell in the League of Wales in 2001. He joins Lido from Brecon Corries and will work with current coaches Vince Lewis and Conrad Rees. Bowley said: "I am delighted to be given the opportunity to manage Afan Lido and join their promotion push towards the Welsh Premier League. "This is a very ambitious club with great prospects and I am relishing the chance of helping towards the club's quest for continued success." |
