WELSH League leaders Goytre United in the title race as they were held to a 1-1 home draw by third-placed Caldicot Town who, along with second-placed Afan Lido, have a game in hand on the Glenhafod Park outfit. Goytre fell behind to a 35th-minute goal from Darren Rowberry, only for Richard Ryan to level just before the break. Bridgend Town eased their relegation fears with a 4-0 win over Garden Village, while Cardiff Corries caused an upset by winning 2-0 at home to Barry Town. Cambrian & Clydach went fourth after edging a five-goal affair against Dinas Powys at The Murch. Damon Thomas, Carl Payne and Mark Jones were Lido's scorers in a 3-1 Thursday night win at Cardiff Corries. |
