WELSH League leaders Goytre United did their hopes of regaining the crown little good with a 1-1 home draw against bottom of the table Caerleon at Glenhafod Park. Second-paced Afan Lido, who were not in action, now trail the Goyts by four points with two games in hand and the sides meet on the final day of the season (May 19) in what could well prove to be the title decider. Cambrian & Clydach moved into third place with a 2-0 win over Aberaman Athletic while Caldicot Town drop to fifth after slumping 2-1 at home to Pontardawe Town. Bryntirion Athletic are now fourth thanks to a 2-1 win at Garden Village. |
